The Anatomy of penis
The penis is one of the complex part of the human body though the appearance is very simple. The shape of this complex part is cylindrical when it is in flaccid condition but in erect condition it forms like a triangular prism with rounded angle.
There are two parts of your penis. These are shafts and glans (basically it is known as head). The shaft is composed of three columns of tissue and the glans is situated in the top of these three cylindrical columns (see the figure below). Two of the column tissue is named as Corpora Cavernosa that is located in the upper side of the penis next to with each other. And another one is Corpora Spongiosus that is underside of the penis. These three tissues are surrounded together Fibrous tissue and the whole thing is covered with skin.
The whole corpora Covernosa are also bounded by the deep fibers and superficial fibrous envelope. The direction of the superficial fiber is longitudinal and it forms like a cylindrical tube by enclosed with each other corpora. Both corpora are also surrounded by the deep fibers but these are arranged circularly. Its function is to form the septum of penis by their junction in the median plane.
The Corpora Spongiosus contains urethra. There is a urethra bulb, which is formed by the expending of urethra. With the inferior fascia of urogenital diaphragm, it is lies in apposition. The urethra is entered to the bulb very close to upper side of the surface with respect to the lower side. And there are lots of parts in the Corpora Spongiosus these are shown in the figure.
The glans gives the support to loosely attach fold, which is known as foreskin. In the underside of the penis, it is attached. This area is named as frenum. The penis is traversed from lower part to upper part by the Urethra. This canal is used as a narrow passage for urine, the sperm, produced in the bladder and produced in the tests.
Human has no erectile bone. When two Corpora Cavernosa chambers are filled with blood, the erction will achieve. And this erection is occured by sexual stimulate situation. The blood is brought by the arteries to the penis dilate for increasing the blood flow. Then the Corpora Cavernosa fills with blood and the sponge-like penis will be stiff. There are veins, which is constricted by the stiffer tissues that ensure continuosly blood flow through the penis to maintain the erection.
According to the medical science, when a male baby is born, he comes with a full set of reproductive organs. But in that time these organs are remain undeveloped. When a boy comes at the stage of puberty (usually the age 10 to14), secreting hormones is started by the pituitary gland. This hormone will control physiological and physical traits in any male human. It is responsible for higher muscle and development of bones. It ensure that how much the penis will increase and what about the testicles size. It is also responsible for the deeper tone of voice, which can define the traits of man.
Usually in the age around 18, the penis stops growing and that stage are called the end of puberty. Moreover there are lots of environmental and own physical factors that may delay the end of puberty. As a result some men get extra time to penis growth beyond the age of 18.
